The Regional Business Mentor Programme

Vision Manawatu is seeking mentors for this important service to businesses in the region.

Administered by Vision Manawatu, the Business Mentor Programme is available to organisations in the Manawatu, Horowhenua, Wanganui and Tararua.

New Zealand is an economy of small businesses with 86% of registered businesses employing fewer than five people. The key challenge for these businesses is isolation – not having people around to bounce ideas off and learn from.

The Business Mentors New Zealand Programme is a national scheme and is run by Vision Manawatu in the Horizons region. It is available for businesses more than 12 months old that employ fewer than 25 people. Research by a number of organisations continues to identify that mentoring is a key ingredient for small business success.

The Programme delivers small businesses with the skills and experiences of people who are successful in business themselves. It makes available, free of charge, people who have proven themselves successful in business. The Mentor Programme offers expertise in all areas of business management. Clients and mentors are matched according to the specific skills needed by the client.
