Strategic Plan
This regional plan is scheduled for review and will be publised again in 2011
Three key areas of growth have been identified for the Manawatu region:
- Bio-Industry
- Integrated Education
- Smart Business
Based on international trends, the major economic priorities of Bio-Industry, Integrated Education and Smart Business have substantial potential for growth. The aim is to retain and enhance existing skills as well as attract new skills and resources to the Manawatu region that achieve more 'value-rich' jobs.
