Meet the people and partners behind the vision

The Vision Trust was formed in 1999 to lead Economic Development for our Region.
Our settlors were Palmerston North City Council, Manawatu District Council, Powerco and Massey University. The agency incorporated the previous Knowledge Centre, an independent Promotion Trust, the Manawatu Chamber of Commerce, the Economic Development activities of the respective local authorities and the local Business Development Board. Our Vision
Our strength and success are derived from our shared determination to build partnerships between our settlers, and other key players who share our ambitions for our area.
More recently we signed 5 year relational contract between Vision and Palmerston North City Council, Manawatu District Council and Destination Manawatu. Our shared premise is to work collaboratively for the betterment of the region. Our commitment is to 'join the dots' to ensure the best result for our region.
Our Board
Vision Manawatu is governed by a board of trustees elected for a term of 3 years on a rotational basis and meet bi-monthly.
Trustee vacancies are advertised publicly and applicants are appointed by our external Appointment Panel. This process ensures Vision maintains a strong board of trustees with a range of skills and experience.
Our Staff
Vision Manawatu has a dedicated and hard working team of professionals.
Our Partners
Partnerships are crucial to bring about real and lasting change in our region and are central to our way of doing business.
Through collective effort, which epitomizes the best of The Mighty Manawatu, we can bring benefits that go way beyond what we can achieve separately. To those who are existing partners, our thanks; to those who would like to be part of a regional development we invite your suggestions and contribution.
Our Sponsors
The team at Vision Manawatu would like to thank all their sponsors; we value your on-going support.
Without the tremendous support of all kinds that we receive we simply wouldn't be able to deliver the services we do to support our region. Sponsors commitment to our region brings mutual benefits and ensures a joined up approach to regional development.
We are privileged to work with these organisations and acknowledge them here.
