PNCC, Manawatu District Council and Destination Manawatu
Our relationship with Palmerston North City and Manawatu District, Council as well as Destination Manawatu is articulated in a 5 year Relational Contract.
This ensures a shared strategy and action plan, and a collaborative approach to ensure the region gets the best from the partnership.
Since establishing the 5 year relational contract in 2010, the partners have built ever-strengthening commitment to a shared outcome of a flourishing region. The development of a 10 year strategy (the Regional Development Strategy) is a key project.
BCC

The BCC is responsible for turning innovative ideas into profitable businesses.
With many of the same objectives as Vision Manawatu, The BCC is our partner for the Ministry of Science and Innovation contract delivered through to Regional Business Partner Network.
Vision and The BCC collaborate on a range of initiatives and are both
driven by a desire to grow strong businesses in the region.
Department of Labour
DOL operates in many areas closely aligned with Vision Manawatu.
We share particularly common interests in the operation of the regional labour market and immigration, both vital areas in the growth of any region. Vision Manawatu contributes to DOL initiatives where appropriate and values the statistical provided by DOL.
Horizons Regional Council
As the regional economic development agency, Vision Manawatu's objectives often align closely with those of Horizons Regional Council.
As our regional focus broadens more of our initiatives will involve the natural resources Horizons manages.
We have strengthened our partnership with Horizons through collaborating on key projects such as the Manawatu River Accord, which will bring benefit to our region.
Manawatu Chamber of Commerce
Any business community needs a strong voice to speak on their behalf and this is what the Chamber offers in the Manawatu.
Vision Manawatu has enjoyed a strong working relationship with the Chamber and looks forward to continuing to work together for the benefit of local businesses. Most notable, is the joint Pilot projecton Free Wifi in the Business District and our shared commitment to a strategy and the environment that is Brilliant for Business.
Manawatu Defence Hub
Vision Manawatu provides staff and administrative support to the Manawatu Defence Hub.
Defence is a key sector for our region and will become even more so in future.The Defence Hub provides businesses that wish to engage with defence forces a membership based organisation to provide assistance.
Massey University
Massey University is a key organisation for our region and much of the research undertaken there will help underpin our future growth, particularly in the area of food innovation.
Vision Manawatu enjoys a strong relationship with the team at Massey and the organisations collaborate on a wide range of initiatives.
Ministry of Science and Innovation
Vision Manawatu in partnership with The Bio Commerce Centre are the Ministry's regional partner to deliver research grant opportunities.
It will be through continuous innovation that our region will advance and the partnership with the Ministry will be a key factor in success.
Ministry of Social Development
MSD are an important partner to Vision Manawatu, particularly in matters relating to the labour market.
A strong business community and a skilled workforce are two vital elements of growth and it is in this space our organisations share common goals. Our partnership in this areas delivers on the objective that our region is delivering the skills required by our business community.
New Zealand Trade & Enterprise
Vision Manawatu is the Regional Business Partner for NZTE, delivering business capability services and training vouchers.
A key focus for Vision Manawatu is to invest in local businesses that can grow to the point they can be referred directly to NZTE for export assistance.
