At the heart of any successful community are strong support networks.
Our community support services face on-going and increasing difficulty sourcing funding for the work they do. As funding becomes harder to obtain jobs within our community sector are placed at risk with the resulting decrease in community services. Vision Manawatu's objective is to support the growth and better utilisation of community resources.
Community Foundation
Funding for community projects has become increasingly difficult to obtain for regional organisations, particularly following the Christchurch Earthquake.
Our region also faces the prospect of the existing Central Energy Trust winding-up in 2073, which may seem a long time away however it will take some time to replace this circa $50 million fund.
