 Student City is a city for students.

Under the guidance of IEGG, the Student City campaign attracts and maintains Palmerston North's vibrant student population, positioning the city as a destination of choice for both domestic and international students.

Student City facilitates: social events, competitions, free buses for students, discounted internet access and an engaging online community to ensure students enjoy positive experiences whilst studying in Palmerston North. It also provides businesses and members of the wider community with opportunities to show their support for the city's vibrant student population by promoting student discounts on the Student City website and participating in Student City events.

Tertiary education forms a major part of the local economy.
