New Trustees Appointed
Two new trustees, Wayne Dellow and Pete French have been appointed to Vision Manawatu’s Board of Directors.
Chairman Charlie Pedersen said he is thrilled to welcome the new trustees who will add their experience to existing governance strengths as the organisation focuses on its contribution to achieving the goals of the Regional Development Strategy
Mr Dellow is a board member of the Taranaki Chamber of Commerce and former member of the Commercial Operating Board of the Taranaki Rugby Football Union. He is partner of Co7.com – a new company focused on Simplifying Business.
Prior to this, he was a partner in RESULTS.com – The Business Execution Experts, providing a virtual delivery service for clients in New Zealand and overseas.
Mr Dellow has also served as General Manager of the Taranaki Chamber of Commerce, Tenderlink – Business Development, and as a consultant for Fonterra.
Mr French is a Commercial Real Estate Sales, Leasing and Business Broker with Professionals Unique Realty in Palmerston North and has been in business in Manawatu all his life. Prior to his role with Professionals, he held a contract to a North Island chemical distribution company to draw up a business plan for distribution and marketing.
Mr French has had experience in franchise ownership, deer farming and design, manufacture and marketing of farm equipment. He has also owned and managed a 230ha intensive mixed sheep, beef and cropping farm in the Beaconsfield Valley (north of Feilding).
Vision Manawatu is governed by a board of trustees elected for a term of three years on a rotational basis and meet bi-monthly.
Trustee vacancies are advertised publicly and applicants are appointed by an external panel. This process ensures Vision maintains a strong board of trustees with a range of skills and experience.
